My Manpower Job Search Results: Graphic Included

I first searched Manpower.com for jobs in Madison, WI and was given 17 job postings. This could speak to the frequency at which the website is used and updated- just two days earlier, Julia found only two available jobs. I was surprised to see jobs with salaries as high as $75,000 per year posted. There were permanent and temporary jobs available ranging from auditor and accountant positions to warehouse worker positions requiring the ability to lift up to 50 pounds. The accountant job requires a Certified Public Accountant designation which is no easy task.

Where my family lives in Chatham, New Jersey, there are just three positions available in marketing, procurement, and customer service. In contrast, Chicago, IL has 50 jobs currently posted as available. The varying results per location on Manpower.com ask the question: in which locations and regions are jobs generally available these days? I found this survey published by the website to be a simple, yet telling graphic. I think you'll find it interesting, especially because Wisconsin is one of five states to receive thumbs up status by Manpower.

This is an interesting graphic. I found it surprising to see though that the mining industry received a thumbs up by Manpower. I feel there is a larger shift moving towards clean and renewable energy that would not be positive for the mining industry. It will be interesting to see if the predictions by Manpower actually turn out to be true.
